The Anderson Bio Lab at Rice University in Houston, TX is a fairly typical midcentury academic building in every way except for its brick. Scattered throughout the walls are custom-made bricks with sculpted impressions of various animals, insects, and formulas. Here a giant moth is captured midflight.
